Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! is a great blend of the old and the new, bringing the same great adventure to the present, and incorporating Pokémon Go brilliantly to help newcomers feel welcome.

It’s nearly Christmas, and if you’re stuck for a Party game this year the team at Jackbox has you covered once again.

It's great to see Spyro back in the picture, and with the remasters it doesn't look out of place in today's day and age. It's a joy to play, but the charging and camera angles let it down somewhat.

I never thought I'd ever feel this way about a Tetris game, but here we are. It has the same addictive and fun gameplay, as well as some amazing visuals and a soundtrack that offers so much emotion.

Even before playing on live servers I’m not afraid to say that Battlefield V’s multiplayer is great. That is simply undeniable. It’s impossible to not care about the result of each match, tense finishes seem to happen almost every other game and the moment to moment action is incredibly satisfying.

Outside of a mostly good UI redesign too many elements of Just Dance 2019 just feel too famili-famili-familiar.

11-11 Memories Retold tells the intersecting stories of Allied War Photographer Harry and German soldier Kurt as they are thrust together by circumstance. A rushed final act and factual information about WWI hidden in collectibles do, unfortunately, undermine much of the excellent early work.

Occasional repetition issues aside, The Shapeshifting Detective succeeds with strong character dialogue, a well-used morphing mechanic and its atmospheric setting.

While often fun, GRIP: Combat Racing’s opening hours will put some folk off, due to some iffy balancing issues and awkward track design. Stick with it and you’ll find an entertaining, old school combat racer.

The Room on Switch is the definitive experience when it comes to controls and visuals and the only real flaw is the fact that holding the Switch for a touch only game is not as comfortable as holding your iPhone or iPad with weight and the battery life is obviously not great on the Switch.

Moonlighter is yet another perfect fit for the Switch. It combines some great aspects from games I like and adds its own charm with a brilliant soundtrack. The gameplay here perfectly suits portable play and the port is mostly excellent. If you’ve been waiting on the Switch version, the wait has definitely been worth it. I hope the minor performance and visual issues get addressed in a patch to make this the definitive Moonlighter experience.

Zarvot is definitely a fun time and if you don’t get it, you’re probably a square (not a cube). It has loads of charm and the gameplay doesn’t get old.

Death Mark on the Switch is the best way to play the game for sure but it could have been so much more with a little extra. The lack of touchscreen use to progress dialogue or to use the flashlight is disappointing. If you’ve been after a unique horror adventure that has a very interesting aesthetic, you need this.

It feels trite to put a score on a game like Memory of Us as it tells an important and poignant story that should be heard, it's just that at times the game parts get in the way of that story.

The PS4 version is still the best, but we’re down to the nitty-gritty of which one looks better to reach that verdict and, honestly, to many players the difference will be an acceptable trade-off for the ability to play Diablo 3 on a handheld.

The Football Manager series just goes from strength to strength. This is superb, sublime, and irresistible. It’s not a game you play, it’s a game you live.

Boundless is a game heavy on exploration and crafting. The existence of craft able portals to other worlds extends the scope considerably, but obtuse recipes and unintuitive menus dampen the enthusiasm somewhat.
