Curry has constructed a project that plays to the sonic structures of the era without sacrificing meaningful content in doing so. TA13OO is the culmination of his promise and talent, resulting in Curry’s magnum opus.

Realistically, Ta13oo is extremely satisfying from a consumption standpoint. It’s everything I’d want from a rap album this year.

Incorporating varied delivery and production, TA13OO taps into his established style, which combines aggressive trap with rapid-fire bars ("Sumo," "Super Saiyan Superman"), while also adding smoothed-out hip-hop atmosphere and patient vocal restraint ("Sirens," "Cash Maniac"), which was only hinted at on Imperial's throwback gem "Zenith." TA13OO is split into three sections--Light, Gray, and Dark--and delves into introspective self-examination and unflinching social commentary that tackles politics, sexual abuse, and mental health.

His new LP is a sonic assault; holding tight to punk ruthlessness and discipline, drenched in Dirty South origins. [Oct 2018, p.68]

It’s when he sticks to the highly personal that Curry’s music is devoid of all cliché--the power of his performance, the veracity of his pen, and the color of his wordplay make him an expert at voicing the tribulations of this doomed condition we call being young.

Curry shows far more versatility as well in the lighter cuts such as Black Balloons and Cash Maniac, while also maintaining the dark and grimy performances he is known for on tracks like Vengeance and Black Metal Terrorist. He also shows his introspective side with political commentary on Sirens and his critique of society's newfound obsession with "clout chasing" in this social media age on Clout Cobain. There isn't a single track here that I disliked, which is why I gave it a 10, and it is a strong contender for Hip Hop album of the year alongside Kids See Ghosts by Kanye West and Kid Cudi and the newly released Brockhampton album, Iridescence.

If somebody doesn't like this album, I can only inference that they do not like hip hop.

The fine mixture of personal lyrics and also catchy but quality tunes is something I really enjoyed in his project.

Going deep and serious in songs like Clout Cobain and Black Balloons but also keeping it fun and hype in songs like Sumo, Percs and Super Saiyan Superman

The production is really fresh, just great production on a very different album, as far as rap is concerned.

Favorite Songs: Black Balloons, Sumo, Super Saiyan Superman, Switch It Up, Clout Cobain, Percs, Vengeance

Least Favorite: The Blackest Balloon (even though it's still a good track), there isn't really a bad track in this entire album

Denzel suprised me with this project, it really wasn't what I expected after hearing some of his past work. The first disc or act of thisDenzel suprised me with this project, it really wasn't what I expected after hearing some of his past work. The first disc or act of this album is much more mellow and laid back which is a great thing because Denzel could really hold his own with that style of music. For people who are more into bangers and trunk knockers, there are plenty of moments on this album that contains just that, even on the first act (SUMO). That leads me to say that even the more aggresive and not-so-mellow tracks are still amazing. During the last two acts the album takes a diffrent turn and it is not a dissapoint one. I could talk for hours about this album but i'll say this, there's hardly any dull moments on this project and Denzel out did himself, check it out for yourself!

Favorite songs: SIRENS, TABOO, SUMO, MAD I GOT IT, VENGENCE
Least favorite songs: THE BLACKEST BALLOON
